Eligibility Requirements
Any child currently in grades 5 or 6 may apply.
Any child who is a resident of New York State may apply.
Children who are currently enrolled, have a sibling in middle school or high school at Charter School for Law and Social Justice or who live in Community School District 10 have admissions priority.
Admission is determined by lottery. The 2025 Lottery will be held Friday, April 4, 2025.
The application deadline is April 1; applications received after the deadline will be considered waitlist applications.
There is no cost to submit an application or to attend.
A charter school shall not discriminate against or limit the admission of any student on any unlawful basis, including based on ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability, intellectual ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, athletic ability, race, creed, religion, or ancestry.
A school may not require any action by a student or family (such as an admissions test, interview, essay, attendance at an information session, etc.) for an applicant to receive or submit an application for admission to that School.
